The number of COVID-19 cases in Africa exceeded 33,000
The number of identified carriers of coronavirus infection in Africa is currently 33,566, reported Africa CDC on April 28. The total confirmed number of deaths from COVID-19 on the African continent has so far increased to 1,469. According to the African Union Centers for Disease Control, the largest number of cases of COVID-19, approximately 4.8 thousand each, were reported in Egypt and South Africa.
