Lavrov responds to U.S. threats to impose sanctions on Russia over Venezuela

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov commented on further United States threats to punish all those who cooperate with Venezuela and its authorities, represented by President Nicolas Maduro. I 've heard another threat from Washington, punishing anyone who cooperates with Venezuela in one way or another. We are already used to it, Lavrov said at a press conference following his visit to Mexico. According to the news agency, US Secretary of State Mike Pomero said earlier that Washington is studying the possibility of imposing sanctions on Russia for supporting Venezuela's legally elected president, Nicolas Maduro. We also remind that at the end of January Maduro accused the pro-American opposition and its leader Juan Guaido of stealing $500 million allocated by the United States in 2019. Maduro added that anyone who called for sanctions against Venezuela and military intervention would find justice. Read also: Maduro accused Venezuela's opposition of stealing $500 million
