Social ID cards to be implemented in Kazakhstan by end of 2020


The new Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Erala Tugzhanov instructed to launch social ID cards in all regions of Kazakhstan before the end of 2020 at the enlarged meeting of the board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic on February 17. He reminded that the cards are currently being implemented in the pilot mode in six regions of Kazakhstan. Through ID cards pass payment of meals in schools, payment of travel, receipt of targeted social assistance and free medicines. Tugzhanov instructed the Ministry to bring the coverage of electronic proactive services to 70%. According to the results of 2019, the coverage was 56%. The Deputy Prime Minister added that he will take into account the opinion of all interested parties on pension reform. According to the news agency, on February 17 in Nur-Sutan there is an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan.
