Algeria calls on UN to end foreign interference in Libya

On 12 March, Prime Minister Abdelaziz Jerrad of Algeria announced the violation of the truce in Libya and the supply of foreign weapons to that country, according to Algeri Press Service. At a meeting of African Union representatives in the Republic of the Congo dedicated to Libya, he noted that foreign States were still supplying weapons to Libya. Algeria insists on the responsibility of the UN Security Council to establish peace and security in Libya by ending both foreign interference and the supply of weapons to the parties to the conflict.
