New Prime Minister elected in East Timor
The hero of independence of East Timor Shanana Gusmao was elected Prime Minister of the country, reports Sindonews. East Timor's first president, Shanana Gusmao announced that he had formed a new coalition that controls 34 of the 65 seats in parliament. It is known that Shanana Gusmao was elected the first President of East Timor in 2002, then he served as Prime Minister of the country from 2007 to 2015. According to the news agency, on 25 February 2020, East Timorese Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak resigned after the collapse of the government's ruling coalition.
