The Seimas of Latvia approved new fines for violation of the emergency regime

The Seimas (Parliament) of Latvia approved the proposals of the Government and amended the administrative code, significantly increasing the amount of fines for non-compliance with epidemiological norms and rules of the emergency regime. About it on Friday, April 3, writes the portal LSM. According to journalists, for individuals the fine for non-compliance with epidemiological standards will increase to from 10 to 2000 euros. Previously, the amount of the fine for such violation ranged from 10 to 700 euros. For legal entities from 140 to 5000 euros. Previously: 140,2800 euros. Within the same limits, the fine in the country for individuals and legal entities for non-compliance with the emergency regime has been increased. Previously, the maximum fine for violation of the rules of emergency was 350 euros. According to the news agency, an emergency regime was introduced in Latvia from 13 March to 14 April due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
