Authorities of Kyrgyzstan received $174.5 million to fight coronavirus
The total amount of financial assistance received by the Government of Kyrgyzstan from international donors has already amounted to $174.5 million (about 12.7 billion rubles). This was reported by Finance Minister Baktygul Zheenbayeva to President Sooronbay Zheenbekov. Read also: The state debt of Kyrgyzstan decreased to $4 billion 606 million. The Head of State noted that in the current situation priority should be given to financing measures to combat coronavirus and strengthen works to attract additional funds for budget support. Zheenbekov also drew attention to the need to negotiate more actively with international financial institutions and donor countries on restructuring the debts of Kyrgyzstan and extending the terms of payments on previously received loans.
