Solemn action of the maritime Immortal Regiment took place in Seychelles

The solemn action of the maritime Immortal Regiment took place in Seychelles. This was reported on May 1 by the press service of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Seychelles. The action, which took place on the raid of the city of Victoria, was attended by the Russian oceanographic research vessel Admiral Vladimir, as well as representatives of the Russian Embassy. Diplomats arrived on the vessel on the La Fleche patrol boat provided by the Seychelles authorities. On the vessels frozen parallel to each other, the crew of the Russian ship and diplomats paid tribute to the memory of the Soviet soldiers with portraits of their relatives, participants of the Great Patriotic War. Returning to the shore, Russian representatives, on behalf of the participants of the expedition, together with a representative of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Seychelles, laid crowns at the memorial to the victims of the World Wars, as well as to the grave of the ship's doctor of the ship Robber Alexander Krupenin, who died in 1895 and was buried in Seychelles. The Russian oceanographic research vessel Admiral Vladimir arrived in Seychelles as part of a round-the-world expedition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 200th anniversary of the opening of Antarctica by Russian seafarers.
