22% of employees moved to remote in Latvia during the pandemic - survey


Representatives of the Center for Public Opinion Research (SKDS) conducted a survey among 1000 residents of Latvia to find out how the coronavirus changed their usual regime and volume of work. About it writes on June 2 portal LSM. Thus, 24% of respondents said that the volume of work at them decreased. For 25% of respondents it has not changed. In 13% of residents of the country the workload increased, 2% of respondents lost their jobs, 3% of respondents receive an allowance for downtime, 31% no longer worked (by the time coronavirus appeared in Latvia). According to the results of the survey, 22% of respondents began to work remotely in the country. With 7% working remotely before the crisis, sociologists concluded that 29% of the employed had moved to the remote system at the moment. It is noted that the survey on the territory of the country was conducted at the request of employees of Latvian Television. According to the news agency, an emergency regime was introduced in Latvia from March 13 to May 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic. On May 7, the emergency regime in the country was extended until June 9 with a number of easing.
