Seven people injured after hurricane in eastern Kazakhstan


Seven people were injured in a hurricane wind in the city of Ayagoz, East Kazakhstan region, the press service of the region's emergency department said on June 17. The department noted that gusts of wind reached 28 meters per second. The storm ripped off the roof from some residential and administrative buildings. In particular, 19 two-story houses, 72 one-story houses, four schools, a kindergarten and a central district library were damaged. In addition, a strong wind led to a break in power lines, 9,138 subscribers remained without electricity. Repair crews work on the spot.
