Hospital in India sold negative tests for coronavirus


A private hospital in the city of Mirut in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh was closed after a scandal with the sale of negative tests for coronavirus, reports The Indian Express. Law enforcement agencies became interested in the clinic's activities after publishing a video on the network, in which an allegedly hospital employee offers to pay 2.5 thousand rupees (2404 rubles) for a negative test for coronavirus. Residents of India need to have a certificate to cross the state border. In the scandalous video, an employee of the clinic can be heard promising that the certificate will be printed by one of the two state hospitals in Mirut. As reported by the news agency, as of July 7, 719 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were detected in India, including 22 thousand over the past day. India ranks third after the United States and Brazil in this indicator.
