Prime Minister of Ukraine announced a principled position on the salaries of ministers

Members of the Government of Ukraine will receive salaries, the amount of which does not exceed five average salaries in the country, whatever decisions on this matter are made in the courts. This was announced today, September 23, by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal, the correspondent of the news agency reports. Shmygal, in particular, commented on the recent decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to abolish the restriction on salaries of officials for the quarantine period of 47 thousand hryvnias, which previously amounted to ten minimum salaries. The Cabinet of Ministers and I personally remain under the regulation and the action of the resolution, in which the salaries of the Prime Minister, ministers are limited to no more than five average salaries in Ukraine. This is our principled position, he said. the news agency recalls that on September 19, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that social payments and salaries in the country will increase to human level in a few years. As for the salaries of officials, the representative of the president in the constitutional court, Fyodor Venislavsky, said that the court reasonably recognized unconstitutional restrictions on the salaries of officials and judges for the period of quarantine.
