Russia and Tajikistan plan to create a common air defense system

Russia and Tajikistan plan to create a unified air defense system. This follows from the decree of the President of the Republic Emomali Rahmon on the development of a corresponding draft agreement published on the legal information portal. Further negotiations and amendments to the agreement were entrusted to the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is instructed to agree on the date and place of signing the agreement. The document explains that Russia and Tajikistan do not have a common border, therefore, a separate collective security region within the airspace and territory of the republic is allocated as part of the region.
